Help Center Information

Help Centers serve as a “one-stop shop” offering FREE resources for Flint residents including:

  • lead-fighting foods and produce
  • physical health options
  • mental health services
  • personal care items
  • bottled water, filters, replacement cartridges
  • resource packets with informational material about additional services and events related to the Flint Water Crisis

There are currently 3 sites located throughout Flint:

  • Asbury United Methodist Church
    • 1653 Davison Road, Flint, MI 48506
    • Open Monday – Thursday from 10am until 4:30pm
  • Bethel United Methodist Church
    • 1309 N. Ballenger Hwy, Flint, MI 40504
    • Open Monday – Thursday from 10am until 4:30pm
  • Greater Holy Temple Church of God in Christ
    • 6702 N. Dort Hwy, Flint, MI 48505
    • Open Monday – Thursday from 10am until 4:30pm

People come to the Help Centers by car, ride with others, bus line, and walk.

  • Asbury Church – close to the Franklin Bus Route 7 (Davison Rd and Franklin Rd)
  • Bethel United Methodist Church – close to the Beecher/Corunna Bus Route 12 (Ballenger Hwy and Flushing Rd)
  • Greater Holy Temple Church of God in Christ – close to the Crosstown North Bus Route 13 (Carpenter Rd and Dort Hwy)

Help Centers are open Monday thru Thursday from 10am until 4:30pm each day.

The Help Centers are for any Flint resident impacted by the water crisis.  SERVICES ARE FREE and there is NO ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA to receive services.


  • Help Centers do not ask for any personal identifying information. You do not need any personal documentation.
  • You will be asked for your zip code and household count by age.

Residents are invited to visit the Help Centers one time per day.

Yes. Items may be picked up for a neighbor and/or family member residing in Flint as long as their zip code and household count by age is provided. 

Current personal care items include shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush and diapers.

Nutritional lead-fighting foods and produce are available at the Help Centers. Each month different foods are offered. Each Help Center has the same food items. Produce varies with growing season.  

Food bags include items that make meals and a few staple items.

Grain =           Toasty O’s Cereal    – bag (2)

Protein =       Tuna                          – can  (2)                              

        Total of  16 items

Additional Options:

Fresh =           Apples (3lbs)           – bags    (1)

Fresh =           Potatoes (10lbs)      – bags    (1)

Fresh =           Carrots (IQF)           – bags    (2)
